The ADRA Germany registered association is a non-governmental, independent organisation of the Protestant Free Church of the Seventh Day Adventists and was founded in 1987. The abbreviation stands for Adventist Development and Relief Agency and carries out projects worldwide in development cooperation as well as providing humanitarian aid in cases of disaster.

ADRA helps people independent of their political and religious persuasions, their ethnic origins or their sex. ADRA monitors the needs of people on the spot and meets them with respect. They are partners with equal rights with whom ADRA maintains a relationship of learning and sympathy.

The organisation maintains a worldwide network of independent provincial organisations and regional offices, which are united under the ADRA International umbrella organisation.

Due to the long experience and proven contacts to our partners worldwide, ADRA is in the position to provide rapid, effective and enduring aid in emergency situations. Rebuilding-, health-, education and nutrition projects are as equally among the fields of endeavour as projects for the promotion of economic- and mental independence, as well as projects applicable to women, children and senior citizens.
ADRA is recognised in Germany as being a non-profit-making and charitable organisation.
